For the first part of the project, I built a bottom-plate cooled electrical vehicle battery pack that serves as a comparison to a novel immersive-cooled battery. I collaborated with material scientists, chemical engineers, and electrical engineers in sourcing thermal interface materials, batteries, and in designing the enclosure to hold everything together.
For the second part of the project, I built a data acquisition platform with thermocouples, PID controllers, and thermal imaging cameras to model the temperature distribution of the immersive-cooled battery during operation.
